About Us
Alison Brebner began riding at an early age, first beginning her competitive career in horse trials in Ontario on her thoroughbred gelding Northern Touch. From there, Aliy started training with 1996 Olympic show jumping team member Chris Delia at his Chris Delia Stables in Oakville Ontario, competing her own horse as well as others in the hunter, jumper and equitation divisions.
Shortly after, Aliy received her Equine Canada coaching status and became a working student for CET member Liz Steacie, competing in the Young Riders division on the Oldenburg gelding Daneel. Aliy became the Assistant Trainer and Barn Manager at Liz Steacie’s Porcupine Hill Dressage, riding and competing both her own horse Halston and client horses up through the Prix St. Georges level.
Since opening Northern Equestrian Centre in 2007, Aliy's students have been very successful at the discovery, silver and gold levels, where they have won many local and provincial championships.
